Jennifer E. Kemp is a revolutionary singer, whose first music single, "A
Million Fish", touched the hearts and drew the attention of thousands of
women across the world in 2008. "A Million Fish" is distributed digitally on
ITunes, Napster, Yahoo!Music, Amazon, etc. Her on-going work with
heavyweight producers and artists such as Sha Money, Bink, Big Self, Mr.
Fingaz, 9th Wonder, Fiend, Perfect Harmany, and Big Ken,
to name a few, is proving to be one of the most effectual fervent artist
development formulas that is availing much success.
In 2006, Jennifer E. Kemp formed a seven piece live band that blended
r&b, neo-soul, jazz, blues, and hip-hop. She worked very hard to develop
and market the band to many regional venues. After only one year,
Jennifer E. Kemp and her band had performed over 100 shows in markets
across North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. In 2007, after a very
bad love relationship, Jennifer E. Kemp wrote and recorded "The Break-
Up". "The Break-Up" was the best thing that ever happened in Jennifer's
career and love life. This song drew thousands to all of Jennifer's live
shows. The song was so popular that Jennifer self-produced a music
video to increase the awareness of the hit. "The Break-Up" along with "A
Million Fish" featuring Perfect Harmany of DTP Records, started
getting more and more rave reviews and interests. Many local news
outlets began to contact Jennifer for interviews and commercials. Jennifer
was picked to sing Raleigh's News and Observer's cartoon video featuring
NC State's Head football coach. The cartoon received great reviews from
the top sport's news including Sports Illustrated.
In the midst of the revolution, Jennifer E. Kemp has been named "the new
revolutionist" for the music industry. Jennifer E. Kemp was raised in North
Carolina. Ronald Decarlo Kemp, her brother, taught her all about hip-hop,
breakdancing, rapping, writing, cutting and scratching. He was murdered
by gunshot in 1995 at the age of 23. After his death, Jennifer felt lost and
stayed away from the music for awhile. After mourning the death of
Ronald, she decided to start her own music company. Rodek Music was
formed and named after her late brother. Jennifer started back writing and
producing music with a close music friend named Broadus Brown Jr. He
introduced her to mentors that were working with Jodeci, Timberland, and
the group Sistah. This started Jennifer's career as a ghostwriter. Jennifer
began hanging around the studios, recording and writing for many
recording artists in order to learn how to compose hit records. This skill
took Jennifer a long way in her music career. Jennifer didn't stop in NC.
She took her act on the road. From sleeping in cars on I-95 to sleeping in
New York studio bathrooms, Jennifer was very determined to make a
name for herself. Jennifer would drive, alone, 10 hours every weekend to
work with hit-making producers like Bink in NJ. While sleeping on Bink's
floor on a blow-up bed beside two big rottweilers for only two hours a night,
Jennifer would awake to record one of the greatest r&b tracks ever "When
the Fire's Gone". Jennifer wrote the song from the beginning to end in one
take while under the influence of Bink's hard hitting hip-hop drums and
chopped chords. While recording in studios with well-known rappers like
Fredro Starr and Stickey of Onyx, Jennifer E. Kemp was coined "the go-to
girl" for a hot hook. This skill gave birth to catchy celebrity collaborations.
The most recent of them all is one soulful duet "Nothing That I've Heard"
with the former No Limit rapper Fiend and another club jam "All Night" with
Kadalack Boyz's Tex James. Jennifer E. Kemp is highly skilled to write
hip-hop radio hits, however, she is at her best when she is performing live
with her band.
Currently, Jennifer E. Kemp is everywhere you google on the web. She
continues to perform with her live band for her fans and she's working on
her debut album release. This 2009 release will include an album and an
exclusive E-book all written by the naturally gifted artist herself. Jennifer E.
Kemp is planning a world wide web tour that will be broadcasted live from
her website and many online social sites. Jennifer E. Kemp is the music
meme for the new r&b revolution!
